I can trace back when I started my journey on personal development. I got lost in that quest.
I was studying people that I admire. Instead of learning from them, I was trying to emulate them. I didn’t have clarity about myself.
I wanted to change things. But change what?
I wanted more. But more of what?
I was focusing on what other people were doing. I wanted what they have.
I wasn’t true to myself.
It felt like I was losing my mind. I didn’t know what I wanted. It was painful. But I learned a lot about this experience.
It’s during adversity that you learn the greatest lessons.
Choose to Be Happy
Happiness is a choice. Try to do everything with a smile.
Be happy with who you are. Everything starts from there.
Accept who you are. You’re perfect as you are. You’re unique. You don’t need to settle for conformity.
Create yourself. Be the better version of yourself.
It’s that diversity that make the world such a wonderful place. Trust yourself.
Learn How Little You Matter
It’s not all about you. You just a tiny little piece of the universe. You’re not the center of it.
Learn to take things less seriously. There’s little that matter.
Not all eyes are turned toward you. Everybody is in it own little world. The person that care the most about your world is yourself.
Do things your way. You don’t need approval from other. Be yourself. Be authentic.
You’re not eternal. Everything fade.
Everything Is About Habits
Don’t focus on change.
Focus on removing bad habits first. It’s easier to remove something than add something. Then add good habits. It’s more tangible to work with habits than changes. It’s more precise.
Introduce one habit at a time. Don’t get overwhelmed by trying to change everything at once.
So do what makes you happy, learn how to take care of yourself, and work on your habits. It’s the lessons that I retain for the readings I did so far.
It’s in this kind of mindset I’m in right now. I can feel my downward spiral changing direction. I’m discovering what is interesting for me. I’m finding what makes me happy. It’s exciting time for me.
