Sometimes you’re not feeling it.
It’s okay to climb down.
Alex Honnold had epic failures. He had to change route. He had to take traverse toward an other route so he can get out of a situation where he was not feeling it anymore.
We tend to forget that there’s a lot of work that happen behind the scene that enable him to be so successful in what he does. It’s not all about successes. It’s about all the doing that was put on.
It’s a pattern that I start to notice more often when you listen to people that we consider successful.
We praise there successes.
They praise there failures.
You don’t need to be good at everything out of the bat. It’s unrealistic.
Instead, try a lot, fail a lot, and learn a lot.
